This is a full day seminar at the Animal Referral Hospital presented by Dr Kersti Seksel and Dr Caroline Perrin. Material being covered is as follows:
Understanding normal dog social systems and communication. The normal social systems of dogs, the way they relate to one another and people. This is a foundation for understanding interdog problems in the same household.
Understanding normal cat social systems and communication. Cats can be solitary or group living depending on access to food. Having and understanding of normal group living cats behaviour and communication will help you manage a social cat problems. Normal agonistic responses of cats and how this can lead to intercat relationship problems Intercat relationship problems. How they present, and how to help healed fractured relationships. Including case studies.

Centre for Veterinary Education Distance Education Course in Behavioural Medicine

This distance education course gives veterinarians an opportunity to better their understanding of companion animal behaviour. Students complete assignments throughout the year. This course is a fantastic way for veterinarians to begin preparation for Membership Examinations of the Australian College of Veterinary Scientists.
